Team & Virtual Assistant Task Assignment

Merry Christmas all !! This might be too specialized even for the Elves working in the Great White North... but perhaps others in the group have a variation on this use case. I'll be working with multiple VA's soon... and so this enhancement to Team Members -- is on my wish list. When I locate a topic that needs to be researched/expanded upon in a Hub... Myself or one other will post it to a "Job/Task/Research" hub. Everyone likes Self Cleaning ovens, right? Well, I would like my VA's to compete for the task of expanding a topic for the hub. Since in my case "VA" doesn't actually stand for "Virtual Assistant" but does stand for "Volunteer Assistants"... Having THEM grab a project THEY would like to follow up on... would be totally awesome. The would tag themselves to it... and "it" could only have one VA attached to it. The Date that VA volunteered to do it would also be visible... having their name and date they took it on, also makes them responsible to their Peeps. It (keeps them active in the hub) as they review the newest stuff and the direction the project is going. They see who is stepping up... It (empowers) them to make their own decisions... It (prevents) me from assigning a project to a disinterested volunteer, that isn't likely to do anything with it because it wasn't their cup of tea. Very HARD for managers of Volunteers to discover without a whole lot of wheel spinning. When they upload their material... it will be to the same Job/Task/Research Hub. Other Team members will see -- both the result and the speed in which it was created. (inspiration+knowledge) After an admin review of the new material... the new material would be reassigned to the hub that it really belongs in. Working with physical teams in the past... this is the method we used successfully. Virtual workers need to feel like they are not being micromanaged. Volunteer workers need to do things they want to do and the task really needs to be in their wheelhouse or they drop off. Not sure how many people are working with volunteers right now... but you can bet a dollar for a doughnut -- an integral feature like this in Searchie... is something that all volunteer based efforts would jump on as a fantastic "self cleaning oven" as strong volunteers surfaced and weak volunteers could remain "hangers on" until they see a project that they feel they should jump in and do... In our use case... No reports or analytics are needed because the "Job/Task/Research" hub, is constantly being emptied as the Job completes and the results are reassigned to other hubs immediately. It's self determining... "Watercooler Management" Thanks for a great 2023 Searchie Year and 2024 is gonna be "off the hook"... Best, Kwaz
