Playlist description doesn't appear anywhere?

When I put something in the playlist description, I don't see it appearing anywhere? Am I missing something? Is it only for the back end? It would be nice if it would appear under the playlist title, so a separate page doesn't have to created for the purpose of describing the playlist. Also the option to have it appear under the title in a grid would be helpful too.
