Extension: Keyboard Shortcuts for Screen Recording Controls

The full functionality of the player controls (cancel, stop, record/pause) is only available if the controls are shown on screen, which means they are included in the recording. When you choose to hide them in your recording, you lose the ability to cancel and pause you recording. Can we have some keyboard shortcuts so that we can access the full functionality even when we choose to hide the controls during recording?
