Introducing daily or weekly digest emails for the Discussions feature

My Users are very active in the Discussion Forums - So much so that over the few months I have had the forums enabled, one user has already received 1200 emails, one for every reply other users have made to each thread they are involved in.

This is way too verbose, and we need to have the option to set the default from emailing about every notification, to either a daily or weekly summary. Perhaps, overridable by the users in their account settings… However, I think as a company, you should always work from the membership owners configuration first, and then the users config. So don’t make options that we can’t chose the default for :)
