Allow Playlists (Featured Sections) in Columns

I would REALLY like to be able to use the Featured Section with its Playlist functionality to be usable in the Columns layouts. Use Case: As a developer I like building from scratch so I use the columns a lot. But this limits me in that I can only put a single video in a column; click it does not open up to its playlist. This is problematic when i want to be able to automatic and have it essentially be a "dynamic" piece of content, in having my most recent call replays showing up as the top video that's on display the way that a Featured Post with Playlists would do.
